Step into the elegant bustle of Paris in 1900, at the dawn of a new century, when more than 80,000 horses still trotted on the cobblestones of the French capital. It was the year of the Worldâs Fair, the second modern Olympic Games, and above all, the year of Madame, an eccentric and flamboyant artist of the Parisian stage.
In a city teeming with carriages, trams, amazons and makeshift coachmen, a whirlwind day is about to begin. Madamehas not a minute to spare: the city is her stage, and every appointment a scene to conquer.
đ 2025 dates: from 18 September to 2 November at the Great Stables of Chantilly.
⚠A flamboyant show by Sophie Bienaimé
Created in 2024 as a tribute to the Paris Olympic Games, this equestrian production imagined by Sophie BienaimĂ© (your host at La Maison du 18!) revives the energy and poetry of Belle Ăpoque Paris.
Carriage driving, long-rein work, liberty, haute école, aerial acrobatics and vaulting intertwine in a choreography where equestrian art meets urban poetry. Alongside the horses, ponies and donkeys, a mime, a vaulter and an aerial acrobat whirl through the stage: a true ballet of bodies that takes the audience from department stores to the Bois de Boulogne, from the circus to restaurants and, of course⊠the cabaret.
Under the majestic vaults of the Great Stables of Chantilly, this is a living, vibrant and flamboyant show, where the magic of horses meets the effervescence of a capital city in transformation.
